Hick - Review

Originally a semi-autobiographical novel by Andrea Portes, Hick is the story of a 13 year old girl who runs away from home.  It includes a loaded cast (Chloe Grace Moretz, Blake Lively, and Alec Baldwin) and a solid soundtrack (with songs by Bob Dylan and Patsy Cline among many others), Hick is a movie with a lot going for it on paper.  However, its 5% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes tells a totally different story.  Watch our review to see how we felt it played out on screen!

Queue It:
  • If you're looking for a role that pushed Chloe Grace Moretz out of the mold
  • If you're a fan of coming of age stories
  • If you're looking for a movie that pushes your emotional viewing limits
  •
Screw It:
  • If an over sexualized 13 year old makes you feel really uncomfortable
  • If you're looking for something with an interesting plot
  • If you like Alec Baldwin in more than 2 minutes of a movie
